08/09/2019

IRVINE, CA (August 5, 2019) – Montrose Environmental Group, Inc. (“Montrose”), a high-growth environmental services company, today announced winning the 2019 Occupational Excellence Achievement Award by the National Safety Council (“NSC”).

The NSC only selects the top 5 percent of its member companies to be named an industry leader. Montrose is one of 63 companies worldwide to be chosen for this award. The qualifying criteria include company-reported safety performance from the previous year.

“We are honored to recognize these 63 organizations for the work they have each done to advance safety,” said Ingrid Schoen, Director of Membership at NSC. “These winners have gone the extra mile in working to eliminate preventable death and injury on the job. We applaud their dedication.”

Scott Churbock, Senior Vice President of Enterprise Risk and Regulatory Affairs at Montrose, is excited his company received this honor. “We make safety our top priority by empowering our employees with ‘stop-work’ authority every day.” He said, “Our leadership supports an employee’s decision to stop a project, no matter the consequences, if it is not safe.”
